Emily White practices with Preti Flaherty’s Corporate and M&A Practice Group out of the firm’s Portland office. Her practice focuses primarily on business tax law and executive compensation. She advises clients on a broad range of transactional law matters, including entity formation, equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, complex business structuring, contractual issues, and individual federal and state tax planning. Emily uses her knowledge of federal, state and local tax credit and financing programs—including programs such as the Maine seed capital tax credits, tax increment financing, and new market tax credits—to assist clients at all stages of the business lifecycle. She also works with nonprofit organizations with respect to tax matters and general operations issues.
