Juan Camilo De Bedout is a Partner at Posse Herrera Ruiz, where he leads the tax, customs and transfer pricing litigation and controversy area. His professional practice focuses on tax planning, taxes, transfer pricing, tax and customs disputes and litigation. Juan Camilo has extensive experience in matters related to administrative and judicial discussions with national and territorial tax authorities, and in advising on international issues. Before joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, he worked as a senior lawyer at an international consulting firm in the area of taxes, controversy and tax litigation. He is director and author of the Tax Jurisprudence Observatory of the Colombian Institute of Tax Law (ICDT). He has been invited as a lecturer in different national and international academic settings, on topics of procedure, controversy and tax litigation. He is a postgraduate professor specializing in Tax Law at the universities of the Andes, Externado de Colombia, EAFIT in Medellín and the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, directs the Tax Procedure Diploma at the Colombian Institute of Tax Law (ICDT), is co-author of the Tax Procedure Book of the Legis publishing house and participated in the commission of advisors on tax litigation and controversy of the Ten-Year Justice Plan Tax of the Ministry of Justice. He is a lawyer from the Universidad de los Andes and has a specialization in Tax Law from the same University.
