Jaime Cubillos Bio

Jaime Cubillos is a partner at Posse Herrera Ruiz. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, corporate governance and corporate strategy. He has advised sellers and buyers (including strategic and private equity funds) on domestic and transnational acquisitions of publicly-listed and privately held companies, asset dispositions, auctions, joint ventures, complex corporate transactions and distressed acquisitions, with extensive transactional experience in several industries, including retail, food and beverages, telecommunications, mining and oil & gas, energy, industrial and manufacturing, financial institutions, insurance, financial services and fintech, agribusiness, life sciences and healthcare, technology, and companies in distress. He also has experience and has had an active participation in capital markets and financing transactions. Prior to joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, he worked for over five years in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Jaime is admitted to practice in Colombia and in the State of New York. Mr. Cubillos has been recognized as a leading attorney in Colombia by several international publications, including Chambers and Partners, IFLR, Who’s Who Legal and Latin Lawyer.
