Alvaro Jose Rodriguez is a partner at Posse Herrera Ruiz. His practice focuses on natural resources and energy, with specializations in oil and gas, mining and environmental law, mergers and acquisitions, and electric sector financing. Works on structuring, documenting and negotiating oil and gas and mining transactions, including host country, shareholder and operating agreements. He has advised important international companies in the acquisition and subsequent operation of assets for exploration and production in Colombia, in tenders, farm-ins, mergers, options, and other agreements. He has also worked on mergers and acquisitions in other sectors, such as power generation, biofuels and gas transportation, as well as with international banks for financing transactions, union states and reserve-secured financings. Advice to the Minister of the Environment as a negotiator representing the Kyoto Protocol and the Free Trade Agreement with the United States of America.
