Joamir Alves has extensive experience in local and international M&A transactions, working on both the buyer and seller sides in various market segments, including retail, real estate, education, industry, and energy. He recently advised the Vicat Group on its investment in Ciplan Cimento Planalto SA, marking Vicat's entry into the Brazilian market. Other recent high-profile transactions include advising Carrefour on the sale of a minority stake in its Brazilian business to a fund controlled by Mr. Abilio Diniz, followed by a successful initial public offering (IPO), and advising Banco do Brasil on the merger between Elektro Holdings SA and Neonergia SA, creating a R$20 billion energy company. He has also advised several investment funds on equity investments in Brazil over the past few years.
