Janis Wilderspin Bio

Janis Wilderspin is an experienced Solicitor and Barrister with background in a wide range of legal disciplines and particularly in all aspects of corporate/commercial law. She has practiced both in-house and in private practice, and has management experience in addition to her practical legal offering. She is able to interact with individual clients and all levels of personnel in client companies, and ‘hit the ground running’. She is strong in adapting quickly to the business requirements of new clients she works for or advises, and in giving measured strategic legal advice up to board level when required. Janis is commercially aware appreciating the commercial needs of companies/clients well, and reacting accordingly. She is a strong negotiator, articulate and clear, with extremely strong drafting skills. She has enjoyed the differences between in-house work, and private practice, and the variety presented by dealing with different matters each day, and advising at many different levels of seniority with clients. Janis is gregarious, sociable and able to engage at all levels with colleagues and others, have experience of business networking, and enjoy being fully involved in my work. She has most recently been in private practice as a Partner within several city firms. The breadth of her commercial experience has broadened further still as a result of the many different businesses she has worked with, and from having clients from a wide and diverse variety of backgrounds. She is used to working both in a management capacity, with a team, and also independently in a sole advisory capacity based on client needs.
