Thomas Welschen Bio

Thomas Welschen specializes in the prevention and resolution of corporate and commercial disputes. Thomas acts as counsel in, inter alia, shareholder disputes, directors’ and officers’ liability and contractual matters. After reading Dutch law at the University of Amsterdam, Thomas started his career as an attorney at a medium-sized law firm in The Hague. This gave him a broad experience in civil litigation. In 2015, Thomas completed the Grotius specialization course in Company and Business Law and he transferred to the corporate & commercial litigation section of a larger Amsterdam law firm. There, he further developed into a true specialist in the field of corporate and commercial litigation. After a short period of self-employment under the name Welschen Legal, Thomas joined Penrose as a partner on 1 September 2023.
