Bio

Simon is a partner and national head of the corporate team. He qualified in 1992 and joined the firm as a partner in 2004, having previously been a partner at another leading UK law firm. Simon advises corporates and their owners on all their company and business law requirements. His focus is on cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, management buy outs, reorganisations and shareholders' agreements. He works for businesses active in the UK and internationally and regularly advises on multi-jurisdictional transactions and projects for clients looking to enter the UK market through investment or acquisition. He has a special interest in supporting businesses involved in technology and education. Simon is one of the firm’s representatives for the European Law Group, a non-exclusive association of law firms practising throughout Europe. He is recognised as a notable practitioner in the latest edition of The Legal 500 which says that 'he always gives good advice'. The directory also notes that the corporate team in Guildford is 'excellent on all counts'. Chambers UK ranks Simon in band 1 and describes him as 'very sharp, very intelligent and a good communicator'.
