Rozan Khater-Awad is a Partner in Pearl Cohen’s Internet, Cyber & Copyright Group. Prior to joining Pearl Cohen, Rozan has served as a Senior Privacy Officer in the Global Privacy Department at PPD – a leading Clinical Contract Research Organization. In her 12 years at PPD, Rozan has gained deep knowledge and global expertise in clinical regulations and legal / privacy aspects of clinical research management. Particularly, Rozan has specialized in the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), led strategic varied GDPR compliance projects and local compliance projects across the EU countries and has dealt with depth GDPR related compliance issues. Rozan began her professional path in a leading commercial law firm, then joined PPD and led clinical trials contracts in Israel and EMEA countries. Rozan has a vast expertise, inter alia, in advising Israeli and international corporates, commercial transactions in various industries, negotiation and execution of M&As and has handled an extensive range of commercial agreements, including, investment and financing, clinical trial agreements, founders and JVs, non-disclosure and non-compete, marketing and distribution, and licensing agreements.
