Bio

Guy Lachmann is a Senior Partner in the Hi-Tech Group at Pearl Cohen’s Tel Aviv office and is the Chair of Pearl Cohen’s Japan Practice Group. Guy’s practice focuses on hi-tech, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial laws. He represents entrepreneurs, investors and companies in the various stages of their development, mostly in the fields of internet, mobile, Fintech, Insur-tech, digital health, Blockchain, mobility and smart cities, media and Ad-Tech, cyber, Ag-Tech and Food-Tech, medical devices, as well as HR and Reg-tech. Guy has gained substantial experience representing emerging growth companies and their investors, from the very early stages of their development through their expansion and exit transactions. He advises these clients on their ongoing legal needs, on financing transactions, cross-border strategic and commercial transactions, joint ventures and global expansion. Guy represents various VC and CVC investors on their investment transactions, from pre-seed to pre-IPO stages, with emphasis on enterprise-related venture investments from corporations in Japan, Germany and the USA. He leads many dozens of financing deals per year for a very diverse portfolio and on a wide spectrum of deal types, including early stage financing, traditional VC deal, debt and venture lending, combined commercial and CVC investments, M&A of all types and other exit transactions. Guy also serves as lecturer and mentor at various accelerators and entrepreneurial programs promoted by Israel’s leading academic and private institutions. He teaches a course on Hi-Tech Law at the IDC Herzliya School of Entrepreneurship and provides many conferences and seminars annually on various other forums. He was a member of the editorial board of “Law and Business”, the IDC Herzliya Law Review, and served as a teaching assistant on various hi-tech and entrepreneurship courses at Tel-Aviv University and IDC Herzliya. Guy is a board member at the Israel-Japan Chamber of Commerce and a member of the control committee of AHK Israel, the Israel-Germany Chamber of Commerce. Prior to joining Pearl Cohen, Guy was a Senior Associate at the International Department of Yigal Arnon & Co.
