Peter Schaeffer is Co-Chair of the Firm’s Corporate department. Mr. Schaeffer guides clients in the full range of issues faced by public and private companies. His transactional practice focus is in the areas of private equity, venture capital and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Schaeffer advises private equity and venture investors in their investments, and represents strategic operating companies in their acquisitions and dispositions. He represents entrepreneurs and early stage companies on formation issues, equity and compensation matters, licensing and in their financings. Mr. Schaeffer has represented several companies in their initial public offerings, secondary offerings, PIPES, joint ventures and in the establishment of credit facilities. He also regularly represents Boards of Directors on governance issues and clients in critical contract issues such as manufacturing and supply agreements.
