Dawn Michaeloff is a real estate lawyer who focuses on acquisitions, dispositions and commercial leasing. She is a Leading Practitioner in the 2022 Property Leasing Field by Lexpert, a directory of leading law firms and practitioners in Canada, and is included in The Best Lawyers in Canada 2023 Edition for Real Estate Law and Commercial Leasing Law. She is an expert in commercial leasing for all asset classes including retail, office and industrial and understands the unique issues that are involved in specialized leases such as ground, hotel, cannabis and medical leases. Dawn represents a diverse range of developers, landlords, tenants, property managers and brokers. Her tenant clients include luxury brand and national retailers, health care professionals and companies with offices across Canada. Her developer and landlord clients include private entrepreneurs, institutional owners and asset managers with portfolios of all sizes that range from owned and third party managed existing properties to projects at different stages of development and redevelopment. Large or small, she appreciates her clients and provides attentive expertise in equal proportions. Dawn also has extensive risk management experience and is the author of “Insurance and Risk Management in Commercial Leasing”, a practical guide on insurance and related topics in the context of commercial leasing that was published in 2009 and remains in publication by Thomson Reuters.
