Amelia’s practice focuses on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. Amelia regularly represents both issuers and dealers on domestic and cross border public offerings, private placements and listing transactions and has extensive experience advising clients on corporate and securities laws matters. Amelia also advises public company clients in connection with strategic mandates. In addition to her transactional practice, Amelia routinely advises reporting issuers in relation to ongoing governance and continuous disclosure matters. Amelia completed her articles with the firm from 2011-2012, during which time she was seconded to the Ontario Securities Commission in the Corporate Finance branch. She also completed a secondment at a Canadian public reporting issuer operating in the retail industry in 2017. Amelia is an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law where she teaches securities law in the Global Professional Masters of Law (GPLLM) program. She also serves on the board of directors of the Toronto Foundation.
