He joined Osborne Clarke in the spring of 2013 from another major UK legal practice, where he had been both head of corporate and head of private equity. He is a mergers and acquisitions Partner, who specialises in acting for private equity clients, although he also acts for management teams and investee companies. Mark has more than twenty-eight years’ experience in the private equity sector. In the past he has taken time out from his legal career to undertake a commercial role in a venture capital backed supply chain management software company as a director and investor. Mark is also very interested in the area of corporate governance and business ethics and is a member of the Institute of Business Ethics. His key clients include RJD Partners, Inflexion, H.I.G Europe, Caledonia Unquoted Investments, Alcuin Capital and LDC. Mark has been named in the legal directories as a “leading individual” for both private equity and M&A where he is described as “realistic and practical” and is praised for “not wasting time arguing immaterial matters for the sake of legal principle”.
