David Ferris Bio

David Ferris is a Partner in the corporate practice. He qualified at Osborne Clarke in 1997 and has been a Partner at the firm since 2004. He handles M&A and joint venture transactions and projects with a focus on technology and energy sectors. He works for corporations, management teams, vendors, purchasers and funders on deals, and his clients range from start-ups to large established corporate groups and utilities. David has a keen interest in innovative business models including those focused on power management and demand response technologies in the energy sector and their combination with technology platforms and smart infrastructure in Smart City developments. He spent a number of years as head of the firm's corporate practice before which he was international head of Osborne Clarke's Energy sector, establishing and developing an integrated energy practice spanning the firm’s offices and advising clients across the value chain.
