Vanessa Pickenpack has been a lawyer at Oppenhoff since 2008. Following her studies at the University of Göttingen, she completed her legal training in Düsseldorf, with stations at commercial law firms in Düsseldorf and Sydney. She subsequently gained her doctorate on a topic of civil procedural law. Vanessa Pickenpack is a member of various arbitration associations and a founding member of the Cologne Vis Moot School. She is vice president of the German Bar Association [ German Lawyers Association ], a member of the Civil Procedural Law Committee [ Civil Procedure Committee ] and on the Board of Trustees of the Contra Right-Wing Extremism Foundation [ Stiftung Contra right-wing ] as well as being Deputy Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of the conciliation Board for the legal profession [ arbitration body of the legal profession ]. The US publishing house Best Lawyers lists Vanessa Pickenpack among the best lawyers for arbitration and mediation as well as for litigation. Vanessa Pickenpack is a partner of Oppenhoff. She advises and represents national and international enterprises in civil, trade and commercial matters. In addition to the examination and structuring of contracts, this includes extrajudicial dispute resolution as well as representation before the state courts and arbitral tribunals. A focus of Vanessa Pickenpack's activities is cartel damage proceedings in which she advises and represents both on the claimant's and defendant's sides. Additionally, she regularly acts as an arbitrator in ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings.
