Sebastian Zeeck has been a partner at Oppenhoff since 2021. He studied law in Hamburg, Munich, Münster and Cambridge (UK) and wrote his dissertation on international avoidance law in insolvency under Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. mult. Ulrich Drobnig, M.C.L. (Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law) in Hamburg. He also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation. Before joining Oppenhoff, he was a partner in a major international law firm for many years. Prior to that, Sebastian Zeeck was deputy head of the staff law department of a large, internationally renowned trading group and therefore has additional experience as an in-house counsel. He has passed examinations in insolvency law, commercial and corporate law, and tax law. For many years, he was a lecturer in the course element "International Insolvency Law" of the German Lawyers' Institute DAI. He is also a certified consultant for restructuring. Sebastian Zeeck provides comprehensive advice in the areas of restructuring and insolvency as well as corporate law, and he combines both areas. He specialises in restructuring and advising in times of crisis and insolvency on the one hand, and on complex corporate transactions and disputes on the other. His clients are companies and entrepreneurs as well as insolvency administrators. Sebastian Zeeck has consistently been recommended as a corporate lawyer in the JUVE Handbook since 2010/2011. He is a member of the Insolvency Law and Restructuring Working Group of the German Bar Association and of the North German Insolvency Forum.
