Rainer Jacob has been a lawyer, partner and notary at Oppenhoff since 2019. He studied law at the University of Bremen and from 1978 to 1979 at the French School of Administration "École Nationale d'Administration ENA". Rainer Jacob was a foreign associate at Arnold & Porter, Washington D.C., in 1982. He joined one of the leading German commercial law firms in Frankfurt am Main in 1981, where he became a partner in 1986. After their merger with a major international law firm headquartered in New York and Paris in 2000, he became a partner, also temporarily the Managing Partner for Germany of this firm, before transferring to DLA Piper in 2005. Rainer Jacob specialises in corporate takeovers, in particular of medium-sized German companies. He also advises on shareholder disputes, especially in the area of arbitration, and specialises in the reorganisation of companies. In addition, Rainer Jacob has an extensive notarial practice, in particular in the areas of corporate law and real estate law.
