Michael Weigel has been a lawyer and partner at Oppenhoff since 2021. He studied law at the University of Frankfurt am Main. Before transferring to Oppenhoff, he worked as a lawyer and partner in an international commercial law firm as well as in Oppenhoff's predecessor firms. Michael Weigel has represented German and international clients in complex arbitration and state court disputes in all areas of commercial law for over 30 years. His clients include business enterprises as well as financial service providers and professional service firms. In recent years, he has focused in particular on civil litigation in the wake of major white-collar crimes and professional liability matters. He is listed in numerous German and international handbooks as a recommended lawyer in the field of litigation. Michael Weigel has been a member of the Board of the Frankfurt Bar Association for many years, a member of the representative assembly of the lawyers‘ pension scheme „Versorgungswerk der Rechtsanwälte“ in Hesse and Chairman of the ZPO/GVG Committee of the German Federal Bar Association.
