Johannes Janning has been a lawyer at Oppenhoff since 2017. He began his career as a lawyer at DLA Piper UK LLP in 2015. He studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn and the London School of Economics (LL.M. ) and earned his doctorate at the University of Cologne. During his studies he worked for the law firm of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in Cologne (M&A) and London (Capital Markets). He was a legal intern inter alia at Raue LLP in Berlin (M & A / Venture Capital) and the German Consulate General in Hong Kong. Johannes Janning advises on all questions of German and European corporate law as well as M&A and Venture Capital transactions. Johannes focuses his practice on venture capital investors and start-ups as well as the insurance and pharma industry, including advice on regulatory and commercial issues. Johannes was recognized by WirtschaftsWoche as one of three Future Leaders in the Best of Legal Awards 2021. The Legal 500 Germany lists him as a recommended lawyer in the healthcare sector.
