Gaudig was before going to Oppenhoff at Mayer Brown, where he led inter alia the German Corporate practice as well as the firm’s Cologne office. He was also a member of its global Partnership Board. From 1994 to 1997 Gaudig was an associate at Freshfields in Frankfurt. Christof Gaudig studied law at the Universities of Cologne and Freiburg and, prior to becoming a lawyer in Germany, worked at an international law firm in London and an investment bank in Lisbon. He is frequently lecturing in Germany and abroad on M&A and Contract Negotiation. Christof Gaudig particularly advises investors, multinational enterprises and German medium-sized companies on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and complex projects, including litigation in these areas. He also advises insurers and reinsurers in litigious proceedings and on regulatory matters. Legal 500 and JUVE cite him as a “recommended lawyer” in the areas Corporate and M&A (JUVE Handbook 2014/2015/Legal 500 Germany 2015). WirtschaftsWoche Guide cites him on the list of the 600 leading figures for M&A and corporate finance in Germany.
