Steven Torello Bio

Steven Torello is a Chambers-ranked partner in O’Melveny’s Houston office with a focus on the energy, corporate and private equity sectors. Recognized in Chambers USA as “extremely practical” and “exceptional all-around”, Steve has closed more than US$20 billion of transactions for public and private energy companies, private equity funds, management teams and investors of all types. Steve advises on mergers and acquisitions, projects, debt and equity commitments and private equity investments involving oil and gas assets, ‘Drillcos’, renewables and energy infrastructure (including midstream, water, RNG and storage). Steve also counsels private equity funds and portfolio companies through the entire private equity life cycle, including corporate structuring, partnership agreements, management incentive plans, recapitalizations and raising capital. The Texas Lawbook recognized Steve as a top-5 Texas lawyer by deal count in its Corporate Deal Tracker (2023). His energy experience includes oil and gas assets of all types, including operated, non-operated, onshore and offshore (GOM), net profits interests, minerals and farmouts, across all US domestic basins.
