He has represented Japanese and non-Japanese buyers and sellers in numerous cross-border commercial transactions in various industries, including stock and asset acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, joint ventures and strategic alliances, for example, Representation of Resona Holdings, Inc. in connection with arrangement to make Kansai Mirai Financial Group, Inc. its wholly-owned subsidiary (2020), Representation of Nippon Life Insurance Co. in connection with acquisition of additional shares in Australia’s MLC Ltd. (2019-20), Representation of Japan Post Holdings Co., Ltd. in connection with agreement with acquisition of stake in Aflac Incorporated (2018), Citigroup's sale of the retail banking business of Citibank Japan (2014-15).
