Joel Hughey focuses primarily on middle market corporate transactions in the US and internationally, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, capital raises, and joint ventures. He provides strategic counseling to a broad range of clients including public and private companies, private equity funds, venture capital funds, family offices, and executive management teams. His industry experience includes technology, consumer products, IT security, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, and chemicals. Joel also regularly advises Boards of Directors and Committees of Boards in their consideration of extraordinary corporate transactions, including restructuring and going-private situations. Joel has represented hundreds of public and private company clients in public, private equity-backed, and private company mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and strategically important joint ventures with consideration in excess of $30 billion. With more than 25 years combined experience as outside and in-house counsel and as a corporate development executive, Joel brings a practical business-oriented approach to executing transactions, addressing legal challenges, and solving corporate governance issues.
