James Bartling serves as the Head of the firm's Corporate Finance Industry Group and concentrates his practice on corporate finance transactions. His experience includes representing banks, alternative/private credit providers and borrowers across various debt investments, including acquisition finance, distressed debt, specialty finance, repurchase agreements, real estate, asset-based lending, working capital facilities, equipment finance, recapitalizations, restructuring, cross-border, workout, and bankruptcy, with a focus on middle market companies. He has experience representing agents, arrangers, lenders, private equity sponsors, and borrowers across a variety of debt products, including senior, unitranche, second-lien and mezzanine financings. He also has experience representing owners and investors in commercial real estate transactions.
