Bruce Fox corporate and securities practice includes serving as corporate counsel and guiding clients through private equity and venture capital transactions, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, private placements and other financing and commercial transactions in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, software development, software services, data center management, health care, legal services, educational services, construction, marketing and television broadcasting. Bruce also represents clients in the construction and relocation of commercial office space. Bruce has more than 30 years of experience counseling software developers, value-added resellers, Internet service providers and technology consultants with respect to raising capital, licensing software, protecting intellectual property rights, complying with regulatory mandates, forming strategic alliances and acquiring technology. Bruce also advises users of information technology as they implement information systems, migrate to cloud services, develop websites and obtain related services. Bruce is currently on the board of directors of a manufacturer with international operations. He served for many years as a member of the board of trustees of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, an independent, not-for-profit graduate school with doctoral and masters programs in a variety of mental health fields, and as a member of the board of trustees of TCS Education System, a not-for-profit higher education management organization. He is also a past president of the America-Israel Chamber of Commerce Chicago. In addition, Bruce has been a member of both the Illinois Technology Association and the Chicago Bar Association’s Computer Law Committee since its formation in 1982, and he is a member of the International Technology Law Association. He is a frequent speaker to industry groups and has written numerous articles regarding corporate and commercial matters, business transactions and technology issues. Bruce graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1978 with a B.A. in political science and a B.S. in mathematics and computer science. He received his J.D., cum laude, in 1981 from the University of Michigan Law School.
