Bio

R. Joseph De Briyn is the managing partner of the Firm. Mr. De Briyn practices corporate and insurance law and has extensive experience in counseling corporations in a variety of industries. Mr. De Briyn has advised corporate clients in connection with corporate governance, corporate structure, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions. He has recently held the position of acting General Counsel of a major domestic insurer. In addition to his legal representation, Mr. De Briyn also serves as a Board member for numerous profit and nonprofit corporations. Mr. De Briyn also has extensive litigation experience, defending corporate officers and directors as well as professionals, architects, engineers, lawyers, accountants, agents and brokers. His practice also involves resolution of business and coverage disputes for numerous foreign and domestic insurers and reinsurers. In the California Superior and federal District Courts, Mr. De Briyn has engaged in numerous jury and court trials and has successfully argued matters on appeal.
