Alan Zuckerman is a partner in the Firm's San Diego office who specializes in real estate and business transactions. He is a member of the firm's Executive Committee (2014-present) as well as the firm's Management Committee (2004-present), and chaired the firm’s Business and Real Estate Practice Group. Alan's expertise is in real estate and contract law, including real property sales transactions, commercial lease negotiations and construction contracts. He also provides expert counsel in secured real property loan transactions, common interest development projects, mechanics' lien law and easement matters. He represents purchasers and sellers of real property, contractors, brokerages, real estate agents, commercial landlords and tenants, San Diego County's regional multiple-listing-service corporation and various common interest development communities in San Diego County. Alan also provides real estate, business and contract advice to many of the 21 Regional Centers throughout the State of California. Alan lectures and has published articles in local publications on current developments in real property law, notably involving leases and mechanics' lien laws, and laws affecting real estate brokers and agents. He has served as a speaker on the following panels: Drafting & Negotiating Office Leases, sponsored by California’s Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB); Advanced Course of Study: Commercial Real Property Leases, sponsored by CEB; Drafting & Negotiating Office Leases, sponsored by CEB; Fundamentals of Construction Law, sponsored by Sterling Education Services; and Commercial Real Estate Leases, sponsored by Law Seminars International. Alan has also presented lectures to the Association of Regional Center Agencies (ARCA) entitled "Leasing Tips for Regional Centers" and "Selected Provisions in California Contracts for Regional Centers".
