Bio

Nikole Zoumberakis is a corporate partner in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson. Ms. Zoumberakis’ practice focuses on the formation, structuring and operation of private funds, and she has represented private equity, venture capital, real estate, credit and other types of private funds. Her experience encompasses a full range of established sponsors, as well as first-time fund launches. In her work, Ms. Zoumberakis covers an expansive range of legal and compliance issues that fund sponsors and investment advisers face, including structuring private investment funds, portfolio investments, co-investment structures and separately managed accounts, as well as counseling clients on general corporate matters, including internal governance and compliance issues. Ms. Zoumberakis also represents investment advisers servicing institutional clients and high net worth individuals. Specifically, she counsels clients on federal and state securities laws and regulations, the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act. A substantial portion of her practice involves cross-border transactions and international funds. In addition, Ms. Zoumberakis guides issuers and investors in the formation and financing of private and emerging growth companies. She has extensive experience negotiating, structuring and closing a wide variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships. Prior to joining the Munger, Tolles & Olson, Ms. Zoumberakis was a partner at an AmLaw 200 firm. She is on the board of Ocean Elders, which brings together global leaders to use their collective influence to pursue the protection of the ocean’s habitat and wildlife. Ms. Zoumberakis speaks Greek.
