Jed Hops Bio

Jed Hops is the managing partner of the firm. He practices corporate and securities law with an emphasis on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. He is the chairman of both the TSX Venture Exchange’s National Advisory Committee and Local Advisory Committee. He also served for six years as a member of the Securities Law Advisory Committee of the B.C. Securities Commission. In more than 27 years of practice, Jed has advised on numerous securities offerings for private and public issuers. He is familiar with all aspects of structuring Canadian and cross border M&A transactions, asset purchases, private placements and short and long form prospectus offerings. He advises technology, biotech, oil & gas and resource companies in Canada, the United States, Brazil, and Mexico. He has worked as agent’s counsel for a national investment dealer, in connection with initial prospectus offerings, financing and M&A transactions. Jed’s M&A practice has included, acting for special committees, providing advice on plans of arrangement, mergers and reverse takeovers in Canada and the United States.
