Sula Fiszman practice involves the representation of banking and other financial institutions and funds in connection with complex senior secured finance transactions, subordinated and second lien lending deals, workouts, restructurings, and bankruptcies. She manages high-profile transactions involving a broad range of industries, including media and communications, technology, restaurants and hospitality, food and beverage, convenience store and retail service station chains, and energy sector companies. Sula regularly represents private equity funds, portfolio companies, and borrowers in connection with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and their financing needs. She also works with lenders to funds or in connection with transactions supported by fund guaranties and fund capital commitments. Sula has experience with complex cross-border structured finance and derivative deals. She has also represented multiple clients in the purchase and sale of loan portfolios. She lectures frequently on commercial lending transactions, including the basic elements of financing transactions, loan agreements, and negotiating intercreditor and subordinated debt terms.
