Craig Godshall focuses his practice on public and private transactions across a wide range of industries, including health care, industrial, and utilities. Craig structures complex domestic and international transactions on behalf of leading private equity fund sponsors, with a focus on accomplishing successful exits. In many cases, he represents the portfolio companies of his fund sponsor clients in their add-on acquisitions, divestitures, and financings. In addition, he has advised special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) and potential sellers to SPACs on the dynamics and issues in selling to a SPAC. Craig has also advised boards, audit committees, and independent committees on sensitive internal investigations involving large multibillion-dollar market capital public companies as well as privately held companies. From 2007 to 2021, he was a registered foreign lawyer in Hong Kong and provides strategic guidance to both clients in Asia with U.S. transactions and U.S.-based clients engaged in corporate transactions in mainland China.
