Bio

She concentrates her practice in mining, sanitary and electrical environmental and regulatory matters, with special emphasis on environmental evaluation of projects, administrative and judicial litigation, application of extended responsibility to the producer, negotiations with communities and territorial ordering. Likewise, she is an expert in the sectorial regulations applicable to the various natural resources (water, flora, fauna, fishery and aquaculture, among others). Mrs. Infante joined Morales & Besa in 2017. Previously she served as head of the Legal Division of the Ministry of the Environment, and head of the Environmental Regulation Department of the same institution. Previously, she worked in the Superintendence of Environment as prosecutor of sanctioning administrative procedures. From 2006 to 2011, she worked as an associate in the Natural Resources and Environment Group of Carey y Cía. She is the author of several articles, the main ones being “Main challenges of the Superintendence of Environment one year after its entry into operation”, Yearbook of Public Law 2014, Universidad Diego Portales; “Effectiveness of REDD programs in the protection of sui generis indigenous rights”, Tribuna International Magazine, 2 (3), 2013 and ” “Practical Guide to Entrepreneurship. My Company “, Ministry of Economy, 2010. She is a member of the Environment Commission of the Chilean Bar Association and the Environmental Justice Institute of Germany. In addition, she is a member of the Environment, CSR, and Sustainability Committee of The Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation.
