Mr. Barriga specializes in mergers, acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate law. Between 2002 and June 2016 he served as General Counsel at Corp Group, a position from which he led the expansion of the economic group linked to the Saieh family in different industries and markets, including the merger of Corpbanca with Itaú Chile (2014) the acquisition of Banco Santander Colombia and Banco Helm Colombia (2012 and 2013), the purchase of dozens of supermarket chains to SMU (2008 to 2011), the acquisition of shopping Centers Ripley (2009) and the acquisition of Hotel Hyatt Santiago Four Seasons Buenos Aires and Uruguay (2006). Previously, he worked as an international associate at Sidley Austin, New York.
