Kaspar Kielland is a partner in Montgomery McCracken’s Business Department and a member of the firm’s Maritime and Transportation Industry Group. Kaspar handles various aspects of maritime, admiralty and transportation litigation, including defense of cargo claims, personal injury claims, air cargo lawsuits, insurance claims, commercial claims, maritime attachment proceedings and collection of unpaid freight. He revised shipping contracts and charter parties. He conducted vessel investigations and interviews with officers and crew in anticipation of litigation. He incorporated businesses in New York, including drafting corporate bylaws, and handling renewals and withdrawals of licenses to do business in several states. He also has experience in International Commercial Arbitration and disputes involving commodities. Kaspar received a LLM degree in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law from Fordham University in 2007. He received J.D. degree from University of Genoa School of Law in 2003. He graduated from Istituto Vittorino da Feltre (Liceo Classico) with a major degree in secondary school with an emphasis on humanities in 1996.
