Richard Houliston leads Mills Selig’s Banking & Finance Team; he specialises in corporate and commercial banking, real estate finance (investment and development), social housing finance and clean energy/renewables finance. Richard acts for a number of commercial and investment banks and funds, as well as corporates, developers and sponsors. Having advised both lenders and borrowers, Richard has a wide experience of the issues faced by different parties to finance transactions. He has significant international experience which means he is extremely adept at dealing with issues in bringing complex cross-border transactions to completion. Richard is regularly instructed by financial institutions and City law firms to undertake the NI aspects of all types of securitisation and structured finance transactions, ensuring the sale and security structures work from a Northern Irish law perspective.
