Jonathan Lin Bio

Jonathan Lin is a partner in the Corporate, M&A and Securities Group at Miller Thomson. His practice focuses on corporate, commercial and transactional matters, in particular relating to mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital and growth capital investments, joint ventures and partnerships, complex shareholder arrangements, securities, corporate finance and other corporate and commercial matters. Jonathan has significant experience advising multinational and domestic corporations, private equity funds, strategic investors and business owners in connection with domestic and cross-border transactions. He represents and acts as a trusted advisor to clients across a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, pharmacy, dental, veterinary, automotive, construction, technology, insurance, real estate, cannabis, cryptocurrency and food and beverage. Prior to joining Miller Thomson, Jonathan practiced in the M&A and Securities Group in the Toronto office of a major national law firm.Jonathan is a member of several industry associations including the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association, and has been ranked in well-respected industry directories for his excellence in mergers and acquisitions law (including Best Lawyers in Canada, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, 2025).
