Jonathan Edwards practices in the area of corporate law, focusing primarily on mergers & acquisitions and private equity. He regularly represents buyers and sellers in asset and equity purchase/sale transactions and advises clients on pre- and post-transaction structuring and reorganizations, as well as entity formation and general corporate governance. He has also advised clients on tax and securities matters, as well as on corporate finance matters both on the lender and borrower side. Jonathan serves as the Vice-Chair of the Corporate Department and is a member of the firm's Associates Committee. Jonathan received his J.D., with a concentration in Business Transactions, from The University of Tennessee College of Law. He received his B.S. from The University of Tennessee and his Master of Professional Accountancy, with a concentration in Financial Statement Analysis, from Georgia State University. Prior to joining Miller & Martin PLLC, Jonathan was with Deloitte Tax LLP as a Senior Consultant in Real Estate Services and prior to law school, he was a Senior Associate in audit with KPMG LLP.
