Shusheng Wang is the firm's Co-Director for Global Business and a member of the firm's China practice. His expertise involves international business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, corporate governance, tax planning and litigation. He also has extensive experience in joint ventures, technology transfers, off-shore structures and greenfield projects. Shusheng has helped Chinese companies invest over $5.0 billion in the United States. He currently represents more than 200 Chinese enterprises conducting business in the United States and is assisting multiple U.S. firms in expanding their business in China. These companies include automotive, pharmaceutical, life science, battery manufacturing, real estate and other industries. Shusheng was a member of the General Motors Corporation legal staff for 10 years. While at GM, he was primarily responsible for legal matters related to joint ventures in China, including Shanghai GM, Jinbei GM, Guangxi Wuling GM and Shandong Dongyue SGM. He was also responsible for GM's global transfer pricing strategies and implementation and advised on the U.S. taxation of international operations, foreign tax credit issues, global repatriation planning, as well as IRS audits.
