Bio

Zachary Schultz diverse general corporate practice is built on delivering “client first” results. He champions a team-based collaborative approach, helping clients articulate and define their goals from the outset of every engagement and then working in concert to achieve their business and legal objectives. He commits fully to the success of his clients, providing unique access and availability as well as tireless energy every step of the way. A former litigator, Zach leverages a panoramic understanding of the legal issues clients face to his representation of companies in connection with middle market mergers and acquisitions (both buyers and sellers), shareholder and operating agreements, formation and structural issues, restructurings, reorganizations, equity and debt financings, as well as corporate governance matters. He serves a wide array of clients at every phase of the business lifecycle and across myriad industries. Zach also counsels private equity buyers in connection with initial platform investments and subsequent bolt-on and tuck-in acquisitions, and helps navigate clients through pre- and post-acquisition integration and strategy, restructurings, recapitalizations and corporate financings, as well as providing day-to-day outside general counsel services. His practice includes representation of public and private companies and real estate investment trusts, including management and special committees, in connection with corporate governance issues related to Maryland general corporate law and Maryland REIT law. After law school, served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Stuart R. Berger of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland (now the Appellate Court of Maryland) from 2013 to 2014.
