Gregory Burgee is a principal in our Frederick office, where his legal practice is devoted to representing a diverse cross-section of general business, real estate and commercial clients in a variety of corporate, tax and real estate matters. Greg represents businesses throughout the mid-Atlantic area providing counsel in connection with the formation of entities, operational compliance, stockholders’ agreements, buy-sell agreements, restrictive covenants, operational documentation and the acquisition and disposition of various business operations. Greg has substantial experience in the creation, operation, sale and acquisition of restaurant and other food service businesses, including matters relating to the issuance of alcoholic beverage licenses. In addition to the general business practice described above, Greg has assisted and counseled a number of real estate development companies, real estate owners, general contractors, construction companies, landlords and tenants in connection with the financing, development, construction, leasing, management and/or disposition of a wide array of commercial real estate projects within the mid-Atlantic area, including title review, title insurance and settlement-related services and is a licensed title insurance agent for several title insurance companies. Greg also has considerable experience with respect to the tax-deferred disposition of real property through tax-deferred exchanges.
