Renana Dolev Harel is a Partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology Group. Renana advises and represents clients in IP, privacy, licensing and technology transactions, as well as in various other commercial transactions. Renana has vast experience in IP Law–while specifically focusing on review and building of IP portfolios, copyright protection, trade secrets, TM registration and prosecution as well as patents, patent prosecution, and patent portfolio building. In addition, Renana has acquired vast experience in all technology transactions by her handling many global technology transaction deals; and specifically with regard to Israeli law in general, privacy laws, communication law limitations, database regulations, open source, content provider regulations, ISP liabilities, Office of the Chief Scientist of Israel’s Ministry of Economy (currently known as the Innovation Authority) regulations, worldwide consortiums, agreements with TTCs (including many years of representing leading academic and medical institutions in Israel) and manufacturing, distribution, marketing and consortium agreements (including different EU consortiums, BIRD, MAGENT and MAGNATONS). Renana has represented clients in many different aspects of commercial transactions and licensing – counseling, planning, preparation and the full range of negotiations on all sides of the table such as: international consortium agreements, licensing, R&D, JVs, M&As, assignment and transfer of IP, technology agreements, service agreements, MTAs and user agreements (EULA, SAAS etc.), privacy agreements, and many more. Renana has been a major part of many of the large IP and technology deals which took place in Israel whether by exit, M&A, SPA or other type of technology transaction. Prior to joining Meitar, Renana built and headed the intellectual property department of one of Israel’s leading law firms for many years.
