Michael Paradise is a seasoned and experienced attorney who has been practicing law for more than 30 years. He has been described as a “lawyer’s lawyer” and represents both corporate and individual clients. A corporate and securities lawyer by training, Michael began his career at a number of prominent law firms, including Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP. He counsels clients in myriad disciplines, including general corporate and mergers and acquisitions, securities regulatory matters, private investment funds, investment advisor and broker-dealer matters, intellectual property, licensing, real estate, fashion law, labor and employment, litigation and arbitration. From May 2016 through October 2019, Michael was an Executive Vice President and the General Counsel of Steven Madden, Ltd., the diversified footwear and apparel company, where he was in charge of all legal matters, including general corporate matters, cross border joint ventures, corporate governance, labor and employment, real estate (including commercial leasing), licensing, social media, litigation, compliance and intellectual property. With a diversified client base and his multi-disciplinary skills, Michael also acts in a general counsel capacity for companies and individuals as a strategic point person, where he builds teams of experts in various disciplines to address the many issues that arise in complex legal situations. Earlier in his career, Michael founded and ran a hedge fund and venture capital group and was instrumental in establishing one of the first on-line restaurant delivery companies, which is now known as Delivery.com. Michael has written articles and appeared on numerous panels in the financial, corporate and fashion law areas.
