Christopher Prior focuses on municipal, zoning and land use matters, and corporate and securities law. He serves as Village Attorney for the Villages of Baxter Estates, Plandome Heights, and Roslyn Estates, advises several other municipal zoning and planning boards, and serves as general counsel to the Great Neck Park District, the Manhasset-Lakeville Water District, and the Belgrave Water Pollution Control District. He serves as special counsel to other local governments. Mr. Prior also represents property owners and developers in connection with applications to governmental entities for zoning use variances, subdivisions, land use permits, and approvals. Mr. Prior represents limited liability companies, corporations, and partnerships, and their owners, advising in areas such as business planning, strategy and structure, mergers and acquisitions, resolution of disputes among owners, debt and equity financing, secured lending transactions, and general corporate and commercial contracts. Mr. Prior received his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law as a Dean’s List Scholar in 1986, and his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany, cum laude. After obtaining his law degree, Mr. Prior was associated with Wood Dawson Smith & Hellman, in New York City, from 1986 to 1988, concentrating in municipal finance law.
