Abraham Lichy is a partner in the Intellectual Property Department and Chair of McLaughlin and Stern’s Intellectual Property Practice. Mr. Lichy specializes in trademarks and copyrights, commercial and celebrity and social media content creator contracts, with a focus on representing brands, content creators and both public and privately-held businesses. He has a detailed working knowledge of trademark and copyright filing, TTAB litigation, market standard norms in celebrity and content creator agreements, website terms and conditions and privacy policies, and trade contracts. Mr. Lichy also regularly assists clients in residential real estate matters, brand building, creative corporate matters as well as asset and stock sales and acquisitions. While Mr. Lichy works with start-ups and emerging growth companies, he regularly represents the interests of the largest public and privately-held companies in the world in connection with their celebrity and content creator engagements. His working knowledge spans various industries, from fashion, entertainment and tech to e-commerce, consumer products and manufacturing. Mr. Lichy received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Mr. Lichy is a born-and-bred New Yorker, former Biglaw litigator and former CEO of a New York based fashion company. In his spare time, Mr. Lichy is an avid fantasy adventure reader, plays music and DJs.
