Sarah Anderson Dykema works with a wide range private sector organizations (including fintech sector clients, businesses entering the Canadian market and tech start-ups) on privacy and technology matters, as well as public sector organizations (including hospitals, universities and government bodies) regarding privacy and access to information laws. She advises on Canadian privacy laws, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), technology contracting, Saas platforms, consumer protection, advertising/packaging and labelling and intellectual property matters. Sarah is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Canada (CIPP/C) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and is a frequent speaker on privacy and cybersecurity topics, including Canada’s new data breach response obligations under PIPEDA. Sarah is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals, the Canadian Bar Association (Privacy & Access Law and Intellectual Property Sections) and the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.
