Meghan King practice concentrates on bankruptcy and insolvency matters, in addition to general corporate and commercial matters, residential and commercial real estate and banking and financial services, with a primary focus on lending matters. Meghan represents her clients, including a number of major banks and private lenders, on a range of commercial transactions, mainly focusing on bankruptcy and insolvency matters. She routinely assists with matters relating to commercial loans, and provides advice on the structure of loan security and third party agreements. Her experience extends to all aspects of commercial loan transactions, such as conducting searches, preparing and reviewing documents related to the underlying transaction, including purchase and sale agreements, preparing and negotiating security documents, disbursing funds, and other related activities. Meghan’s meticulous focus on the bottom line assures consistently high quality service and results. With significant experience representing clients in the banking and financial services industry, Meghan demonstrates a strong ability to understand her client’s business goals. She is quick to identify with needs from her client’s perspective and is known for her collaborative efforts to help them achieve success. Meghan is a current board member of the Restaurant Association of Newfoundland and Labrador and Land Committee of the Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation of St. John’s. She also belongs to the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
