Jean-Paul Perrault advises clients throughout the United States on general business, corporate, and commercial issues as well as insurance regulation and compliance matters. He represents clients in all aspects of corporate structure, formation, and governance, including financing, joint ventures, asset and stock sales/acquisitions, and divestitures and mergers. He works closely with businesses in the automobile finance sector. J-P represents insurance companies, producers, and lenders in the structuring of credit insurance policies and programs, related products, and services, as well as form, rate, and other filings. He also advises on mergers and acquisitions of regulated insurance entities. In addition to representing businesses in a variety of transactions, J-P represents clients in the areas of construction contract negotiation, contractor licensing, and compliance as well as private and public works projects. He also provides counsel on construction litigation and business litigation matters relating to the ownership and management of closely-held businesses. J-P’s clients include General Motors, Spring Leaf, and FinFit. He leads the firm’s Corporate and Business Transactions practice group.
