Jean-Paul “J-P” Perrault advises clients throughout the United States on general business, corporate, and commercial issues as well as insurance regulation and compliance matters. He represents clients in all aspects of corporate structure, formation, and governance, including financing, joint ventures, asset and stock sales/acquisitions, and divestitures and mergers. He works closely with businesses in the automobile finance and FinTech sectors. J-P represents insurance companies, producers, and lenders nationally with respect to ancillary products in the automotive arena. He also represents insurers in the structuring of credit insurance policies and programs, related products, and services, as well as form, rate, and other filings. He also advises on mergers and acquisitions involving regulated insurance entities, particularly with respect to change-of-control approvals. In addition to representing businesses in a variety of transactions, J-P represents clients in the areas of construction contract negotiation (including AIA form documents), contractor licensing, and compliance, as well as private and public works projects. J-P leads the firm’s Corporate and Business Transactions practice group, is a past Managing Member for the Baton Rouge office, and previously served on the Recruiting Committee.
