Sophia Makris Bio

Sophia is a transactional attorney specializing in complex credit facilities, acquisition financing, and general corporate & business matters. She represents corporate borrowers, equity sponsors, and lenders in a variety of complex domestic and international commercial lending transactions, including secured financings, acquisition financings, and asset-based financings. Sophia earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law, where she served as a member of the Duberstein National Bankruptcy Moot Court Team, Associate Editor for The Review of Litigation, president of the Student Bar Association, and was elected permanent class president of the Texas Law 2017 Class Committee. During her time at law school, Sophia was also one of ten named in the class of 2017 for top achievements in oral advocacy in the Order of Barristers.
