Bio

David Case is a commercial litigator with experience in the state and federal courts, arbitration, and mediation, representing clients in a broad range of business litigation. He has experience with breach-of-contract and breach-of-fiduciary-duty claims; trade-secret, restrictive-covenant, and unfair-competition claims; insurance-coverage disputes; and representing manufacturers, construction companies, and retailers against claims of wrongful death and serious personal injuries. His clients have included Fortune 500 retailers, construction companies, and manufacturers; private businesses; non-profit organizations; directors and officers; partners in partnership disputes; and high net-worth individuals. David was awarded the Connecticut Law Tribune 2015 New Leaders in the Law award for Connecticut lawyers under 40 years of age, judged in categories including contributions to the law, bar association efforts, pro bono work, and peer recognition. David is active in the Hartford County Bar Association and, beginning in 2009, served for six years on its Board of Directors. He currently serves as co-chairman of the HCBA Young Lawyers Committee. David is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and its Litigation Section; and is a member of the American Bar Association. David was invited to participate in the Oliver Ellsworth American Inn of Court—an association of Connecticut judges and lawyers, who hold regular meetings to discuss issues of professionalism, ethics, and civility in the law—as a Barrister from 2007-2011. David has also served the Greater Hartford Jaycees—an organization that develops leadership skills in people between the ages of 21 and 40, through local community service—on the Board of Directors and as Legal Counsel. He was honored for his service with the annual Presidential Award of Appreciation and was also honored as Board Member of the Year by the organization.
